L*Space by Monica Wise!!

L*Space by Californian designer Monica Wise, have just released their Spring 2011 Swimwear Collection! And now that the winter holidays are right round the corner, I know your all booking those exotic getaways! And what's on your minds? Beaches and sunshine!!!

I just love the whole mix and match aspect of all her pieces. And the tiny prints! and the tiny chains! Its all about the small details, its subtly beautiful :) 

I also really love the colour palette they've chosen for this season. Cool grey, a few floral/geo prints, right up my alley :)

Jennifer Lopez and her Little Ones for Gucci Children!

I love it when Designer brands bring out children lines! It's just the cutest thing! Jennifer Lopez and her children Max & Emme star in Gucci's Children's advertising Campaign shot by no other than, the fabulous Mert & Marcus. The collection designed for ages 0- 8, will donate 1 Million USD of profits to UNICEF's 'Schools for Africa' program. So not only is this a great collaboration, It's also for a great cause! :)

Christina Aguilera Sparkles in Swarovski!

Studded in Swarovski, the mega singer Christina Aguilera stars in Steven Antin’s new film Burlesque. All costumes designed by Michael Kaplan are rumored to carry over 250,000 Swarovksi crystals! But wait it doesn't stop there, the sets all sparkle with Swarovksi embellished curtains made with over 80,000 Swarovski, weighing an INSANE total of 1.3 tonnes!!! Nothing short of Dazzle/ Sparkle heaven, I think :D

Favourites of Menswear S/S 2011!

So due to the fact that SO many of u have requested this Menswear post! I am going to finally put it up! :) I am actually a HUGE fan of menswear, and while I was working for Qasimi, I LOVED working on menswear, I just fall inlove with the small details. It's always about the details. You can't be as experimental with a man when it comes to clothes, but you can give him a different coloured button, or a differently shaped cuff! Btw you'll also notice i have a very distinctive taste when it comes to menswear. Ruby4Aspire in Doha!

On Nov 15th I was Invited to attended Rabia Z's Show "Ruby4Sport" at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar! Rabia Z's line 'RUBY' is a combination of sports apparel and active gym wear for modest yet modern women. I think it's great of Rabia to offer something different and sophisticated to conservative women all over the world. Here's a video of the show. Enjoy!

I was lucky enough to chat with the designer herself and ask her a few questions!

"Most Muslimas I know wear Abayas for walking, gym, jogging or sportswear. This is because they cannot find conventional active gym wear that fits their niche needs. And I wanted to insure this." Rabia Z said.

Rabia said her muse for this collection was none other than Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, the first Lady of Qatar. "I see her personal style as extremely feminine; it compliments her inherent confidence and adds to her charisma. I want to salute her through my collection. So 'Ruby4Aspire' represents her vibrant vision for our culture, filled with colour, creativity, embodying the spirit of competition without limitations in dress-code, or religious beliefs."

Shoes Shoes Shoes of 2011!!!

When is it NOT about the shoe? Its the one thing we just can't help but constantly buy, the first thing we head for when we're on our 'retail therapy' sessions and its THE thing that either makes or breaks the perfect outfit. Here are my Top 15 shoes of Spring/ Summer 2011! I can't wait till some of these get shot in editorials, specially the McQueen ones, they're such a statement. You may notice I have a slight obsession with Gold, Taupe, Teal and black. It's definitely one my favourite colour palettes for this season.
