Mary Katrantzou A/W 2011 By Erik Madigan Heck.

I've always been a big fan of St Martins graduate Mary Katrantzou, and so when she was in Doha last month, it was such a pleasure to meet her and talk to her about her latest A/W 2011 collection. Although she has never shot a look-book for her collections, their success has landed them in many stunning editorials. 

This particular feature for Nomenus Quarterly (the world's most expensive magazine) is truly sublime. NY-based photographer Erik Madigan Heck who shot the sensational series stated “It signifies a different direction in my own work, where I am trying to flatten the space between photography and illustration, by eliminating photographic elements and painting on different surfaces and colors in post-production, attempting to move closer towards painting itself, in process and form.”
